Alrite fellas im nearing completion of the first stage of my drivetrain and I have a few simple quick questions that need answers.
First I got a 30 spline 700r4 off member named zero something or other but it has an electronic speedo tailhousing on it. Can I and if so how do I change tailshafts from my 27 spline cable driven speedo to the new 30 spline 700r4?
Next question. Ill be running et streets 265 40 18's in the back with a 342 4th gen rear end (for now soon will have 373s even when I upgrade to a 12bolt or 9" 373s will be in their) so what gear do I need to put in the tailhousing for the 342's or 373s with those tires so I can get the right speedo reading?
I have a non lockup 3200 stall now is this true, from my understanding by not connecting the 3(or 4 depending on tranny) prong connector on the driver side of the tranny closer to the front it will simply not lock up, and since im not using a lockup converter then just leave it un hooked would be fine right?
I have some pictures of the tranny if you guys could tell exactly what it is what the differences are between this and other year 700r4s chime in if not disregard them.
oh one last question did ls1 cars ever come with pbr brake calipers or did I get jibbed on my rear?
Btw what is that section in the first picture missing? Is that the detent cable stuff? Can I just swap over the detent stuff from my other tranny to this?
