3.4 grape of wrath

Ok I put my 94 maro on a diet and now the front looks like it's getting ready for lift off. I really don't want to install drop spindles because I just upgraded to ls1 brakes recently. I was thinking of cutting the coils but was wondering what this would do for my launches at the track. My car is a turboed 3.4 v6 and is set up for drag racing. What about the rear springs? The back is not as bad as the front but I would like to drop it a little. Thanks:shock:

Do NOT cut the springs. I'd do the heater hose mod (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/720291-hose-mod-removing-rear-isolators-guide.html) first.
If that's not enough, buy lowering springs

heater hose is only for the rear

I would think cutting/heating the springs would negatively affect the launch. My car had the same problem since I took like 800lbs out of it. I never got around to fixing it though.

4th gen front coils are a standard diameter, measure and then go through the moog catalog and find a lower rate.

^ Best answer. Just get a set of springs with a lower rate. Custom order if you need to.
