So we've had lots of he said/ she said discussions on here about Broadway Titles in the past with no first hand experiences that were recent.
I just used them to obtain the title and registration for my Harley Davidson. I bought my bike last fall from a guy in PA on Craigslist and he had no title for it. I decided to take a gamble and buy it....and then an even bigger gamble and build most of it before worrying about the title.
About a month and a half ago I filled out all of the paperwork for Broadway just like they requested. You have to get the vehicle insured beforehand and you need a notorized Bill of Sale on the vehicle. You also basically give them power of attorney for the vehicle through the paperwork that you fill out which made me a bit nervous but they do have a great reputation so I went for it.
They are very tough to actually get in touch with via telephone but if you leave a message someone will call you back days later.
I sent my forms into them and called just to make sure they received them. Didn't get a call back for almost 2 weeks but I did get one. About 5 weeks after I sent the forms in I got a package from them with the registration, license plate, and letter stating there is no actual titles for vehicles older than 20 years in the state of Maine.
I took all of this to the local DMV yesterday morning and filled out the proper forms. They looked at it all kind of funny but said ok it should work. Only holdup I had was that I needed to run back home and get a pencil rubbing of the VIN number on the bike. Went back with that and 15 minutes later I had a title and registration in my hand.
For all of the paperwork and legal hoops I would have had to jump through I think it was a great $200 spent to let someone else take care of it. The turnaround was fairly quick in my opinion and I had no real snags.
I'll highly recommend Broadway Titles to anyone who needs a title for a legit car. Be sure to read all of the paperwork first so you know if you qualify.
Just wanted to give my review to help everyone else out.
