Wasn't there some kind of recall on 4th gen cats?

I believe it was just a TSB for 4.2 gens... and only during your regular warranty...?

All new vehicles come with an eight year or eighty thousand mile warranty on the catalytic converters, pcm, and pcm updates.

Time to see the dealer..

2000 to 2002 warranty extended to 10 years 120k service bulletin #05513 dated 12/06.
I had both cats replaced on my '00 SS, the first I paid for then was made aware of the wty, it took three months to get a check from the dealer. When the second one failed they were ready to charge again, so I had to school the service writer....what a shame, no ones got my back execpt for the guys at LS1tech.com....more info there.
Good luck.
