Once again Nissan doesn't fail to disappoint. I'm still scratching my head wondering why people are so in love with this overpriced car.
Of course if GM did this it'd be all over the internet and there would be special news bulletin on every station for it....
Why people would buy this car is beyond me...

The stipulations of owning that car are pretty wild. You can't operate it on a dyno? Why not? Because the manufacturer overrated the power output?
I'm with you on the GM thing. Every time a GM car has a flaw its all over the news, on the front page of the newspaper, and pictures are put up in all the message boards

Congratulations on your order to purchase a new Nissan GT-R. In order to ensure a well informed decision to purchase a GT-R, maximize your driving satisfaction, and enhance your ownership experience, it is important that you understand that the Nissan GT-R is a low production, high performance sports car which has been designed and manufactured to maximize its performance capabilities.
So, to make you happy they have decided that you may not drive it like a sports car, or test any of its performance claims.
Damn that fine print!

Oh darn, I guess a non sophisticated car owner like myself would not know how to drive one...
"Because the Nissan GT-R is a high performance sports car, some of the vehicle's systems operate differently and exhibit different characteristics than less sophisticated vehicles. For example (not intended as a comprehensive list – please refer to your owner's manual):"

Im guessing they are just scared that their show pony will start looking like a POS if they don't try to keep their drivers from doing anything other than grandma driving.

In other words, "The car is not built to handle its full potential and you will break your car at full throttle. You give us $80,000 but you have to drive it the way we tell you or you're on your own."
This is why people have to remember to BUY AMERICAN.

Yea, and did you read the part about the brakes?
Everything must be replaced when servicing... can't imagine that bill...

That pretty much sums it up. I really believe that the cars at the dealership are different than the test cars. Take one out of the dealership and put it on the track and I'll bet it won't do what they claimed. If they really believed in this car they would say "go ahead and run the snot out of it"

nissan has the black box so it persuades you not to get your ass kicked by every other car
after the motortrend video you'd think people would see the car is not worth the money
