All the guys from work bailed out on me due to the weather so I decided to go out anyway since we have a standing tee time on Thursdays at 4:10. It rained off and on the whole time but never hard enough to be annoying. I managed to shoot a 75 which is 3 over par. I was actually 1 under par after 12 holes but caught up to a slow group and had to wait every hole after that and the change in tempo messed me up like I knew it would. I'm still happy as heellll with a 75 though!

I've been playing golf on and off for 30 years and I still don't have a hole in one yet. It took my dad 30 years to get one so maybe this is going to be my year. I did have a tee shot earlier this year end up about 8 inches from a hole in one so I'm getting closer.

Yup, it figures. I did have 2 guys catch up to me and join me for 1 hole before they took off for the bar. I bet if I ever get a hole in one I will most likely be playing alone as well so I won't have any witnesses.

As long as its not like the old guy in Caddy Shack. *ZAP!*
Dont overthink in golf. Jeff you probably just went out there and played with no distractions, no care for where the ball really ended up, and no care for your stance and swing. Amazing what can happen when you don't play competitively.
Congrats.

Ok, gotta follow up with today's round which was on the same golf course with brutal conditions. It was wet, really thick rough and slow greens. I was lucky to shoot an 89 today. But the guys from work all shot worse than me so I think they realized how tough the conditions were today. I doubt I'll ever shoot a 75 the rest of my life, I realized that very quickly today.

if your grass was anything like the grass around here you must have had some real hell picking through the fairways let alone shagging it into the rough. the lawn here is really soaked good.
