MAP high, does this mean I need a new MAP sensor?

Just been doing some more reading, a tight LSA would give low MAP at idle right.... maybe?

Doesn't always mean the sensor is bad. You could have a vacuum leak or your cam could be causing it. You would need to look at the sensor feed as the code was being set.

Edit- that isn't a idle vacuum code.

Well how could it be leaking? Just a lousy seal ?

a vacuum leak could be a cracked hose, a bad rubber end. a broken gasket, a loose EGR plate. You name it. Any place between the TB and heads.

The voltage staying high means that its reading low vacuum pressure.

Um, say the car was cammed, and had a tight LSA... would that affect this reading?

have you been messin with the tune or something?

turn the ignition on with the engine off and check the MAP voltage, should be greater than 4.0 volts. if its less, there could be a problem, more; than its probably intermittent and due to your cam. you didn't eff with anything, right?

Yes but this code can only be set above 1250RPM's though. So unless you have a pretty crazy idle, I doubt it was at idle. Get it tuned and have the tuner look at the vacuum reading.

If the voltage was low he couldn't have set that code at all.

i'm saying key on, engine off check the voltage.

if you tapped the wrong wire for the nitrous, and this set when you had the car running and the nitrous armed, could be your problem right there.

I was 100% I tapped into the TPS line, I printed out the pin outs, counted twice and verified on the connector the correct number.

It has not thrown a SES light, so IDK. I will see what my tuner says.

well the first thing it says to correct is rough idle, just might be the cam
