yea from a LT1 car.

The car is back up and running, just without abs or tcs because Lt1's suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The reluctor wheel on the lt1 axles are bigger than the ls1 so its good enough to get the car up and running, but I'll need to find a Ls1 4 channel axle.

Maybe he is a red blooded male with a muscle car that can break the tires loose, can't say I know of a single person with a quick car that never did a burnout on a open road. It might not always be the right thing to do but who is perfect.

hardly any of those marks are from me. It's just a good spot with a lot of rubber from the locals and i wanted to see how good the car would hook at the track so I took it to the "track" to learn how to launch the car without bogging. The monster clutch made the axle snap because of a 5K rpm clutch dump.

Btw- I was not street racing. I was the only one on that road and datalogging the car because it's the safest place to do it besides heading down to atco like I had planned on doing at night.

Breaking the tires loose would of saved that axle

If you are referring to my post, that's not what I meant. C-Clip eliminators (as I'm sure you know) are used as a secondary form of axle retention in case you break an axle shaft. In his case it's a good idea to think about a set- or 9" housing ends. Disc brake calipers can hold an axle in but not in every case.

i see what you mean now, you mean because of this comon problem c-clip eliminators were developed.

while it would of helped....there was no way I was going to drive home on a broken axle and tear up what was left of the 10 bolt just to save a tow truck ride. THe caliper held it in and I was able to do a u turn with it after I was dropped off the truck and drove it right into the garage.

Yup.

NETS, I didn't mean you would actually drive on it. Far from it. I meant that since you snapped one 10 bolt axle shaft I'm sure you can snap another.

$65 hook up = $4.00 per mile $50 out of area fee...so that about $300...just an option lol
