Just today i saw 5 different guys on bikes wearing nothing but shorts and tee shirts. I guess they think cause their wearing a helemt their safe? Has it always been like this or is this just in the last few years? I think i would kill myself on a bike cause i've got a lead foot but if i ever did get one id be in leathers from neck to toe. Just wanted to know what you guys thought about this

And then you see the old school bikers without helmets, and if they do have helmets they just have those little turtle shells.

To quote George Carlin "It's called passive eugenics....what ever happened to the kid that swallows the most marbles dosen't grow up to have kids of his own.?!"
A helmet only helps up to @40 miles an hour, beyond that you're boned.

i guess it depends, if you are sliding or something it will definately help, but if you hit head first into a telephone pole i can see it being blunt force trauma

i have too much invested in my tattoos, thats why when i had my bike i was always wearing a leather jacket, i think i only went out a hand full of times with just a Tshirt on

I would at least wear a good jacket and gloves. Although there is nothing like riding a bike with just shorts and a shirt on. I understand why people do it. And from my experience your either going to get messed up on a bike or just scrape yourself up, not much in the middle.
