I have a 94 camaro with disc brakes in the rear and was wondering what are those weights for on the rear discs? And are they needed? On my drivers side the weight is rubbing the lca the passenger side is ok plenty of clearance.

I'll try again. There is a round weight that is mounted to a bracket that has to do something with the rear disc brakes. I have after market lower control arms and the round weight is rubbing the lca. I was wondering what they are for I'm guessing some kind of noise or vibration dampening and can they be removed?

Looks like you don't have the parking brake any more? Don't see the cable coming in. Or am I just missing it?
On '93-'97 (?) Camaros the parking brake works by using the same disc brake pads. The pads can be pressed to the rotor by either the hydraulic cylinder or a cam connected to the cable. These "bumps" are where the cam is mounted.
