View Full Version : Rapid Motorsports Domimator 346, built 4l60E, A4 swap parts

EDIT: I am marking items as HOLD if someone expresses interest, I won't put them down as sold until money changes hands so LMK if you are interested in anything.

I've decided to take a step back and tone down my car a bit. I love the way it runs at the track but it isn't exactly what I am looking for in a street car anymore, which is where do 95% of my driving. So I've decided to sell the drivetrain and build something a little less aggressive. Below is the specs of the engine and trans, i can fill in the blanks if anyone has other questions. The engine made 441RWH and 426RWTQ when i first got it, through an A4, 12 bolt, 12 inch converter and only 400 miles, after breaking it in and switching to a 10 inch covnerter it made a best of 469/437 on a Mustang dyno (although it was with favorable air and admittedly it is a dyno that tends to read a little high, so take it with a grain of salt). More revealing was the track times, only made 6 total passes but the best was at Leabnon valley dragway and was an 11.05 @ 123MPH, race weight was #3760, car averaged about 11.3-11.4, but I didn't get alot of practice, so it is a very good running engine and there is more there if you want to put in a bigger cam. I know alot of you have dealt with me in the past, I sell alot of parts and hope anyone who has worked with me in the past may chime in that I am an honest seller. Drivetrain will be coming out next week so keep that in mind it may be a bit before I can ship anything and I will take a quick vid of the car running so you guys can hear it run if you want. Transmission
Phoenix Trans 4l60ESX

Rated to 575rwhp, this is our strongest version of the 4L60E/4l65E/4L70E and is far more durable than even the factory models of these transmissions. In addition to all the mods we make to our SS model transmission, this unit is equipped with the genuine OE style 5 pinion front and rear planetary,( not the wimpy aftermarket 5 pinion planets with inferior castings), larger torrington bearings and hardened reaction hub. The input drum is modified to resist breakage and forward piston replaced with a stronger design, the Reaction sun shell is replaced with a super duty shell which is substantially thicker in the fragile spline area than even the latest GM upgraded shell. We use billet servo assemblies for both the second and 4th gear servo for unparallel holding force but with streetable shift comfort. The Reverse drum is modified and a High Carbon 2-4 band with reinforced anchor points. The ¾ clutch pack has twice the capacity of a stock pack and uses special high rev springs. The pump and valve body are modified for increased oil volume and pressure and the TCC circuit is modified for positive converter clutch application.
