There are a few...Rons runs 12.3 with intake and !muffler:lol:

Just checked the timeslip....12.58 on a 1.98 60'...this car should see 11s with bolts-ons relatively easy.

his is a mild bolt on car IIRC, long tubes, cat back, ls6 intake, etc.....

Yea i think i posted this somewhere else but when the Ls1 first came out I saw a guy cut a 12.70 is a bone stock formula @ Etown no less @ a packed tnt night...Just stating these cars do have potential and w/ mods obviously run faster then LS1's even w/ the heavier weight.

I dont disagree, I think there is a lot of potential. Hell, if I had the money, I would be pushing its potential right now!

Yea I saw one on base today:drool:...think it was black and what looked to be 2 toned wheels ..black and chrome or black and silver...not sure my contacts have been in awhile..but it was gorgous.

I'm just making fun Ive seen his car run lol, I'm sure it can hit 12.5 easy bone stock,I'm waiting to see it hit 11's as it is now
LS1's have a lot of hidden potential that comes out with very minor mods.
I'm sure teh 5th gens have jsut as much potential hiding some place.

no, it wouldnt be, because the 2001-2002 LS1 engine came with the LS6 intake from the factory. and you are still completely missing the point here. I still have a LS1 powered 98-02 f body.

actually not. i can call it anything i want. im just giving ron a hard time here because its kinda amusing to me...but yeah honestly....i can give a rats ass what year the motor is out of...unless it was one of the NON BULLSEYE casted motors, then the year of the motor really doesnt matter to me......now as for a 99 z28...you couldnt get one stock with an ls6 intake....so yeah...then if it goes by motor...

Don't forget we are all fortunate to race at a fast track and usually in great air. (except now in the summer). We all have some sort of ''minor mods'' don't we, who on this boards' car is 100% stock? As for the 5th gen you can see they have much potential with the ls3 just alot of traction issues. Did the one that ran 12.50s have drag radials on it? Even though they are heavy and the 20" tires hamper their straight line performance I can see where some of their potential is and will be unlocked and run some great times!

you can call it whatever you want, but it is divided by MOTOR not car. there are third gens and 4.1 gens on the ls1 lists.
