hey i have just a stupid question for everyone. im thinking of installing the kooks headers on the camaro before i throw the trans back in being that i have alot more room.
ive never put long tubes on an f body before do they install from the bottom or top? and do i have to remove the spark plugs?

put them in from the bottom. Spark plugs go in last.
bottom
you dont have to remove the plugs but its easier

Erm, isn't the engine out?
Just lay the headers in there, and drop the motor in.

From the bottom and you can leave the plugs in, the Kooks slide in pretty easy

all the headers ive put on were done while the trans was in the car. 6spds shouldnt interfere with the header install

yup from the bottom, taking the plus out first is a good idea, in case you drop the headers it doesnt snap a plug in half

I usually take the plugs out cuz it frees up room and takes about 5 minutes, but if you're careful you can leave 'em in (although hairline cracks will make them screwy but sometimes are near impossible to see). They go in from the bottom, the higher you get the car, the easier they go in. 6spd shouldn't interfere. Good luck.

old plugs FTW. I have a bunch here where i busted off the insulator end. I can screw the bases into the block, no debris in the block, nothing in my way on the outside. works gret for painting too.
