grid is actually a highley regarded racing game and to some reviews called it the best most innovated racing game ever made, even the developers for forza 3 and the new nfs talked about upping their handling physics to be on par with grid.....look in game informer for the article on dirt 2, they talk about how codemaster is the leading racing game developer after dirt and grid

forza 2 physics suck, forza 3's will hopefully be better (they did a full overhaul of the handling physics)

i work at a game store, i have yet to find someone who ranked forza 2 over grid from a racing standpoint

put crap on your car...never said it had anything to do with the physics i was saying that it steers people away from grid because they cant custimize their car. and when you played did you do it on pro mode? its a completely different game. and no i dont think forza 3 will suck, because as i said they spent 100's of hours re doing the entire handling physics down to sidewall flex on every singlee type of tire, from all the hype forza 3 should blow out grid and every other racing game, but we wont know until it comes out

Anoter alternative is to have an enduro, choice of track is in the air, but I would like to see at least 50 laps at the track we choose. Im busy Tonight, but shouldn't be Sat, or Sunday night.

just bought forza 2 sunday morning for 20 bucks. Havent played it yet though ...

Other night I was racing the KIR clan. They had leaderboard tunes on their cars, smoked my car, and when they pass me, had no problem running me off the track, they boot me out of the room. I set a special room up to make it 100% equal, called them out for a one on one race against one of them, they sent on of the higher ranked guys, I won.

Had stock setup so no tunes, Laguna Seca was the track, car was a Mitsu GTO, I picked it for handling, and cause it was FR so incase someone tried to run in behind you they'd destroy their engine.

I had one guy show up, then after seeing the rules, he backed out right away, I said why'd you leave, he said cause I wouldn't let him choose a car, I said I told you this was goign to be a fair race, two identical cars. He finally came back in and the race was on. I had the lead for a couple laps, then I slid goign up the hill so he had it for the third lap, then coming out of the 180* going into the right hander he went too hot in, smashed into the wall, game over. I hate clans that talk so much ****, and they're just as good a racer as someone way lower ranked then them. I don't use any leaderboard tunes on my cars, they are setup for me to drive them, and I do pretty well sometimes. I hold the fastest Nurburbring Porsche 911GT1 time.

I asked for other members, but I was suprised they became quite reluctant and had some good excuses as well when they found out about the rules.

What are the "leaderboard" tunes? Is that a tweaked out suspension and somehow makes it like a supercar?

yeah, there are certain cars that are faster then others using these tunes. They are especially seen in S class and U class.

/S class/ Saleen S7, Mercedes CLK GTR, Datsun 432R, Fairlady Z's, Porsche Caymen with the AWD setup, 22B subaru sti, Aimes RX-7,

/U class/ F50GT, Mercedes CLK GTR, GT40, Saleen S7, Koeniseggs CCGT, and Chrysler ME4-12 are the main guys.

If you look at all the records, you'll see that they top the charts all the time. theres a few more, but it sux that they use them. One time my fastest S class car at a track that ran around high 1:22's was beaten by 4 seconds a lap by that RX-7, thats U class time!!!
