what model would you choose, if they were widely available? as far as i can tell, the bumblebee is the only one available through chevy. just curious if you would throw together the extra scratch needed to purchase one of the specialty cars. you KNOW they will be worth more in the long run.

I wouldn't pay extra for a special edition Camaro. If I were to get one, I'd get whatever production model I could afford, and drive it like it wants to be driven. Specialty vehicles are for those who can afford the initial purchase price, afford a second daily driver, afford the storage space for the car to help it appreciate in value, and afford to maintain the vehicle with its special parts.

Oh yeah, then afford to ship the damn thing out to Barrett-Jackson where fools are relieved of a stupid amount of money every January. Lots of up-front money needed before you ever see the kind of money it could fetch in 30-40 years.

A black on black V6 would do just fine thanks.

By Black Camaro, do you mean this one:
Camaro Black Concept
It's hard to go unnoticed in a 2010 Camaro, but the Camaro Black Concept suggests a stealthy approach to street style. From its matte-black-finished hood and ground effects to its dark wheels and red-glowing HID headlamp halo rings, the Camaro Black Concept is a sinister-looking urban tuner vehicle.

The Camaro Black Concept prowls the streets with the following equipment:

* Chevy Accessories ground effects package and rear diffuser
* High-intensity discharge headlamps with unique red "halo ring" color
* Revised, darker grille finish
* RS tail lamps with dark-tinted lenses
* Color-matched exterior badging
* SS-model spoiler
* Matte black hood finish
* Tinted glass
* Chevy Accessories 21-inch wheels with darkened finish
* Brembo four-wheel disc brake package

The interior also carries a slightly sinister ambience, with:

* Red LED instrument lighting and red footwell ambient lighting
* Black chrome trim accents
* Dark-finished accents, including the shift knob, radio face, steering wheel ring, gauge trim and door handles
* Custom sill plates
* Leather-covered seats with grey accent stitching

The Camaro Black Concept also features Chevy Accessories' premium audio upgrade package, along with MTX speakers.

Under the hood is the production 3.6L V-6 that produces 300 horsepower. A Chevy Accessories engine cover provides a suitable accent.

If it came with a V8, then it would be the dream car.

yes, that's the one. some would say the list is limited but i counter with they are the only cars that stood out in my mind and are (or should be) available directly from chevy. sure, the slp575 would be nice, but it comes from slp. even if it's sent out to slp, then back to the dealer, it's not direct from chevy.

i got very excited about the pace cars, but haven't heard a peep about them being available. probably the "performance" team's demise has something to do with that. i like "black" very much, but i would buy a pace car if they became available, only because i missed the boat on the '69 pace cars (and now couldn't afford one even if i sold my house). i have seen the third gen pace cars, but they don't do anything for me. i think there was a '94 pace car (i think) but, again, they do nothing for me. the fifth gen all decked out in cyber gray with those wild slashes of color is something i really dig.

No specialty package for me, but no V6 either. I would take a base SS without the added baggage. But then, I never buy anything new, so what difference does it make! :lol:

Bumble Bee from Transformers 2 is sick. I would buy one in a second. I have seen yellow in person and I am normally not a fan of yellow, but I would gladly drive it every chance I got.

that goes without saying. long gone are the days when people had enough money to pay cash for a new car every four years - and stick one or two away in the garage for a rainy day. there are those of us who got in right before the prices got to be ridiculous, and some of us still drive our cars. of course, if you have the luck of a jeff (i so want to take him to AC to stake him at his favorite game 50/50) and you chance on a car that is so rare the only thing you can do is restore it and sell it (to finance your retirement or the kids' college tuitions), then of course you are not driving that car. but not many of us have that kind of luck.

yeah, this is more about what car would you sport on a regular basis (DD if you have to) than it is about investment. of course, the specialty cars are always worth more. just ask jeff.

I voted for black, but the "White Package" from GM performance could be the ultimate Camaro....I guess it all depends on you bank statement and fab skills
