What casting number are your old heads and your new heads? If you went from a 64cc head to a 76cc head you will probably not be pleased.

14101083...87-up...350..........Gen.I, also used on crate motors, 285 or 300 hp, 64cc chambers, 72' center manifold bolt angles

14102193...87-up...305/350......1.94"/1.5" valves

Google gave me this on 14102193:

65.3cc COMBUSTION CHAMBER
1.94" INTAKE 1.50" EXHAUST VALVE
"THIS CYLINDER HEAD IS NOT A PERFORMANCE ORIENTED CYLINDER HEAD. IT IS CLASSIFIED AS A HIGH SWIRL HEAD THAT WAS INTENDED FOR GOOD BOTTOM END TORQUE AND FUEL ECONOMY. THE INTAKE RUNNER IS RESTRICTIVE BECCAUSE IT HAS A RAMP CAST INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL TO PROMOTE HIGH SWIRL."

They are the "TBI" heads, as stated above, great for low end and fuel economy. For what they were designed for they worked pretty well, otherwise forget it. Some of the truck guys have ported them and reported fair results in improving performance up to 5500 but that is a lot of work when there are much better performance heads available "ready to run".
