Destined to fail. The Miata worked because it was a car that most people could afford.

Ferrari V10?
I think people are starting to dream up magical thoughts. I remember hearing about Ferrari V8 powerd Corvettes "in the works" with the GM/Fiat alliance years ago.
Fiat will never...ever...share Ferrari with anyone else, especially not some low life, American "supercar".
There is no benifit for anyone there. First off, there is NO Ferrari V10. V8? V12? Yes.
I dont see Ferrari building a special V10 for the Viper.
Thats like saying the Pope is gunna let a Rabbi wear his hat for a few days. Not going to happen.
Ferrari is Ferrari. Not going to happen.

MC12 shares the Enzo motor. Although I will Agree, I don't see Fiat inputting anyting into the Viper, not worth their R&D time since it's already a selleri in America. All I see it getting is a body restyling in some area's, maybe some technology parts ( i.e. paddle shift, or mode select) and throw it back out on the dealerships.

Not even the first American supercar to do so. 2nd gen ZR1, anyone?

2nd gen ZR1? When was the first one? And I mean production, on the street, ZR1's.

The 350 DOHC was developed with GM-Lotus/Merc Marine

RPO ZR1 was around for 1970 LT-1 Corvettes like this one:

Then in the 90s it came back as the LT5.

Z06 is a 60's RPO as well.

Apparently. Never heard of the first ZR1.
Z06? Yes.
ZL1? Yes.
That ZR1 isnt the king of the Vettes though, like the last two.
