I'm in the market for a new fuel pump and i was lookin at what other goodies i can pick up and I found the aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Now, doesnt the computer alter the pulse width automatically to compensate for any changes in fuel pressure? ie, will the comp need to be programmed a certain way to take advantage of adjusting the fuel pressure? or can this just be slapped on?
i have a **** ass tune by brian herter from pcm for less if that changes anything...

yea look at my threads on BOOSTED LQ9 TRAGEDY. & CARTEK IN THE CLEAR. YOU WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT PUTTING A AFTERMARKET FPR IN.
STOCK INTANK PUMP HAS A FPR BUILT INTO THE SYSTEM, THE FUEL BYPASS IS LOCATED DRIVER SIDE REAR IN FRONT OF FILTER. IT IS A 3WAY BLOCK. THATS WHERE IT FEEDS BACK TO TANK

i wouldn't do it....
as long as the tune and injector size are correct, you won't help matters IMO
definitely grab a walbro, matt is running a deal on them now. i would pick up a racetronix hot wire kit too. very nice pieces, just got mine today. pretty straightforward install.

Talk to Josh for a tune.
Your setup is not to extreme so I don't think a mail order tune shouldn't be able to handle it but I guess not.

private seller. they are all around though. matt, mc73nova, was trying to get me one but this popped up. i am pretty pleased with it overall. definitely makeable but not worth the hassle

It's not worth it if your injectors are getting the job done now. You shouldn't have to change fuel pressure if everything is working ok

As already state, there is no benefit to a AFPR unless you have a real need, such as if your close to say 80% duties cycle, and you just want a little less without upping injectors and reprogramming.
