so stumbled across some extra money, so far i buaght a 355 sb for my 87, all it needs is a cam and carb. no big deal there, got those covered, now i gotta pay for the body damage from a rescent accident, but my main point is that im doing alot of work to the 87. my friend gave me the rear end out of his 93 Trans Am, its not damaged or anything like that, just needs a nice coat of paint i guess, just to take that rusty look away. and we were planning on installing it when we rip the 305 out of my 87, should i expect any problems to occur while attempting to do this, and if there are any, what are they? and should it be something to just forget about until later?

It's going to stick out on both sides, madness410 has one iirc. look for pics of his car to see the results

the 4th gen rear will bolt right in to the 3rd gen, but you will need to run rear wheels with a 4th gen offset, or as Knipps stated, the wheels / tires will stick out a few inches on each side.

i think they are 275's for the rear, i really dont remember, fortunately the tire doesnt hit the wheel well, it sticks out past the quarter panels, the fronts are 10.5's, they dont fit because the tie rods scraped the wheels, so i have to buy skinnier fronts

its still running, lost the keys to it a while back, so i started taking everything apart to get new keys, found the ignition key, but still havent found the ones for the doors and trunk, so wen i take it out and park it somewhere, it has to be durring the day wen no one could take something, and if its at night, i have to be able to keep a close eye on it

No, it's not. Adjustable panhard will only fix you up if your rear is off center due to lowering the car. Only way to get everything tucked again is to run rear wheels with a 4th gen offset.
