While parked on an incline I noticed that the car began to roll back slowly with a creaking noise with the E-brake engaged. Is this a sign that the rear brakes need to be changed, or the e-brake cable needs to be adjusted? Also if its just the e-brake cable is that adjustable under the center consol on the actual handle assembly or done at the rear of the car?

make sure you have good pad meat in the rear. should be able to adjust the cables at the caliper a little tighter so they grab a little harder. the lever shouldn't need adjustment but can be done to fine tune it. just make sure you have slight drag on the rear wheels and you are good to go.

How far up do you have to pull the ebrake lever up to get the ebrake to engage?

if I remember correct... cable adjuster is under car... above drive shaft.

mine does almost the same thing. It stays when i put it up, but hours later when i get back in it and put the clutch down it starts rolling back a little, i only have to lift it up one more notch and it reengages

oh one ls1 SS

you have to pull the back wheels off and adjust it like you would drum brakes. I tried on mine, still didn't work, so i just said screw it.

It works on mine when its around the 10 -11 o'clock position. I just keep it in gear as a safety anyways

hmm mine does that sometimes . . .

also is it normal if say i park and it comes up like 3-4 clicks, then i drive park it again and it comes up like 6-7 clicks? i swapped out the handle assembly. . . maybe the cable is getting hung up or is it a caliper prob?
