I picked up a 2009 Malibu 2LT, with leather/suede interior, 2.4 with the 6spd auto. Its black grannet metalic with ebony interior. Heated seats, sunroof, onstar for 4 years, and Pine Belts "Lifetime" Warranty if I want to get bent over for servicing.
It rides WORLDS better then my old 04 Malibu Maxx..light years. Performance is good for a 4cyl with 180hp. 6spd auto is nice, tap shifting is a cool feature but not all together fast in shifting.
This is my baby, my first new vehicle I will own.
It looks like its time to start selling Camaro's....
I only have one pic i took with my phone at the dealer.

I pay taxes too. And looking at my pay stub I got a tax rebate for last year for the full amount.
Government owed me.

ahahah, well maybe not that long. LS1 swap is still on track unless something major comes up.
Whats funny is on my way down there, the trans started to fail, and got stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear, so I was spinning at 4500rpm at 65mph. Not good at all.
I calculated the cost of trans replacement, adding a cat, replacing teh horn and making that work, plus everything else....it was about a year's payment towards a new car.

Talks from the people that came out of the GM Design stuidos a few weeks ago say its very Camaro esque in the D pillar/rear quarter area. Even has Camaro esque tail lights.
A lot of the new Chevy interiors have also had been influenced by Camaro's dual pod guage design. Equinox and Traverse both have a similar design.
Malibu will be around 2012/2013ish.

Yeah, I read that from press that have seen it they said it's a show stopper. Right now I'm in love with the new LaCrosse and if the funds are there I'd go for that. But this current Malibu is a very good car, so I can only imagine the 2012/2013 will be even beeter.

the LaX is VERY GOOD!! If I had the cash and if it was available...I would have went with that. Easy.

Yes, full 4500 plus 1500 rebate, got it down to 20k, rolled tax, tags, reg into the loan, 0% for 72 months...yeah, not bad at all.

apparently 0% financing isnt all its cracked up to be... i saw in fine print on a commercial 0% was equivalent to 16.67/$1000 financed for 72 months which ends up being $1200 per $1000. sure it beats other interest rates, but to me thats not 0%

If you have any other bills that have interest charges pay them first! Paying that car loan off early saves you no money!

72 months is killer. Got that on my Firehawk. Yes it is a lower monthly payment, but six years to pay a car with interest stinks. Know not to make that decision again. Thank God both my cars are paid off next year. Will feel like I'm getting a raise
