woot, took the new z to atco today to get some times on it, see how strong it is...you know the drill.

best run of the night was

rt .427
60 2.053
1/8 8.796
mph 82.15
1/4 13.576
mph 103.11

not bad for a stock car with 104k miles on it now  first batch of mods are gonna be the free ram air, lid, cutout and tb bypass for now. im just glad to see that she's running as strong as i thought she was

273 or 323's? Thought u said it had a catback on it? I hit 104 in my buddys stock 99ss A4...it was hot though. What was the temp? Your keeping the car now?

Curious as to what you were launching the car at..

the car is bone stock....the catback is nothing more than a loud muffler...no piping or anything  the car is automatic. i launched it off the converter in drive....1500 rpms iirc. the gearing is 2:73's. she's pretty strong for what she is. i just wanted to confirm that she's right in the general ballpark. i didnt take anything out of the car and even ran the a/c while waiting for my run behind the wall :rofl::rofl:

13.5's is a nice time for a 273 car...Id like to see that thing on some dr's. Though the first thing I would do is throw some 373's in there. if you decide to keep it I have a ported throttle body you can have after I install my 96mm one. I noticed a nice gain w/ it on the stock intake.

explain?

Maybe because it dropped some water...i dunno? Id hardly call that bad track practices. I know a few guys that use to run the ac before there runs....supposedly running the fans cooled the car down or something...I dunno.

Poor track etiquette.

Yes.....water could still be dripping when you are at the line, even if you have the A/C off then.

Depending on the track/tech you'd be kicked out of the staging lanes.

get a converter and DR's for that thing and hit 12s. P.S. if it doesnt have a stock muffler on it, then its not bone stock. be careful throwing that term around
