I predict that one team will become champions and another team will become first place loser.
If I had to pick, I'd say the Vikings and Patriots meet in the Superbowl.

They've been to the big show a dozen times.

They've been to the big show a dozen times.
taken from nickapedia
The Dallas Cowboys have appeared in the greatest number of Super Bowls (8). With six victories, the Pittsburgh Steelers teams have won more Super Bowls than any other franchise

I know how many times they have been there. I guess I wasnt trying to be specific with the dozen, but more in line that they have been there the most.
They have also played in more playoff/championship games then any other football team.

i bow down to the cowboys. they have had some awesome teams through the years. great offenses, great defenses, proven winners without a doubt.
but i just think they are not a contender for the SB. the last 12 years seem to justify that. 10-6 at the best i predict.
it's called history Al. dallas is history

From all my years of being of football fan, there are two things I've learned: 1) You cannot make predictions. With the way guys get banged up and injured, early season predictions are worthless, and 2) Tony Romo is the most overrated QB to every play the game, and is still the biggest Nancy in the NFL.

No predictions, except that my team will be 0-1 after opening week!

100% correct. He's like A-Rod. He will hit a grand slam in the top of the 9th when the yanks are up 14-2, but when its clutch time...he has come up big.
He has done it 3 years in a row now. The team is there, there is no leader. Thats the difference between the current Cowboys, and superteam in the 90's.

They days of emmitt smith and the gang are long over I doubt the cowboys will be in that good of shape if ever again for a very long time.

No, Id say that the last 2 years, they team was as good as the one of teh 90's.
The problem is that there is no leader right now. Romo doesnt have what it takes.

your defense maybe....but your team is seriously lacking the presence in the power positions.
BigAls87Z28
09-10-2009, 09:50 PM
No way. Cowboys have two good running backs in Barber and Jones, Hurd and Williams as your two recievers, and you have Witten still in his prime and Bennett can not only offer great blocking, but can also take it down the field after the catch.
Problem...no solid Quarterback. No leader, no captain, no man to take charge. Now with TO gone, the distraction is gone.

Funny thing is A-Rod has actually been pretty clutch this season  But let's see what he does in the playoffs. A-Rod actually played big in the Minnesota series in '04, but since then hasn't done much during the postseason. I think now that we have Tex, it has taken some of the spotlight off of A-Rod to not be the superstar of the team. He seems more relaxed this year than any other season with the Yankees I have seen him.
As for Dallas, I wonder what guys like Aikman and Staubach think of Romo. Honestly, if Dallas had a solid QB who didn't lose his cool when the game's on the line, they would be unstoppable. Romo is what's holding that team back.

You missed a hell of a game.
Did anyone else see the hit that Ward levied in one of the first plays of OT? You could tell he was letting some frustration out after that fumble.

no they weren't but with 0.00 left things looked good.
buffalo played a great game and should have won but that bonehead play resulting in a fumble and giving tom brady another chance forget about it.
almost forgot how good he is 39/53 378 yds 2TD .. when the game is on the line the man is money. that was his 1st game in 53 weeks.
and definately the best game of the week end.

I hope the vikings don't let Detroit get there win next week.

It looked like the Giants prevent defense there as Buffalo let Brady complete 12 of 14 to end the game! I think it was a good decision to return the kickoff and try and let the clock get below 2:00 remaining, but the guy needs to go down once he gets hit. Terrible play on his part, but the defense really tanked in the last 5 minutes.
