I am looking at a used Vigilante, and was wondering if it would be worth it to have it sent to Prescion and restalled/checked out.

Also, anyone have an idea of what this may cost?

If you don't trust a used converter don't buy a used converter. I don't know wth re-stalled means, but if you mean disassembled, inspected & reassembled that has to be a few bucks.

Well I know with a new TC from Vigilante, if you get a 3000 and want a 3500, they restall it for free once.

I know they do 1 free restall but the shipping round trip is going to cost you $70.00 (I did this with my converter).
There's a place that I know of that will cut open your converter, clean it out and re stall it for $100.00.

Is it a reputable place?

PI and yank charge 200 bucks for a restall and then you have to pay shipping on top of that. I emailed them a while back asking the same question, I just cant find it.

Sounds like it would be worth it if the used one you are getting is cheap enough. But if they open it up and find damage then you're prolly gonna end up paying more to fix it.

They also make sure it hasnt been restalled in the past as well.

This is what was worrying me... especially cause you still would be paying them to take it apart, whether or not you pay them to fix it.

Just buy a new one or lurk around classifieds for a new in box converter someone is trying to get rid of. There are also a lot of used converters that people get re-stalled and sell for cheap in the classifieds
