Ok, so.... normally I don't believe in this crap..... until now.

September 2008 - b*tch rear ended me at 40 mph - she was talking to her kid in the back seat - smashed my 2009 CLK 350 and caused a ruptured disc - got a spinal fusion

June 2009 - @sshole punted me across 4 lanes of traffic as he attempted to do an illegal u turn w/o signaling - smashed my 2009 C300 in the passenger side and caused a herniated disc & torn disc - should be scheduling surgery next week - resulting in 3 spinal fusions

TODAY..... So, I took my 96 Trans Am out to get it washed and inspected. I have only put approximately 400 miles on it since April of 2009 so it BARELY gets driven because of neck and back problems. I'm trying to sell the car so it needed the wash and inspection.

So, I'm in the automatic car wash. You are supposed to leave your car running and put it in neutral. So, I do that.

I'm right at the end, just after the air dryer has blown all the water off when all of a sudden the operator/ owner comes running out and is yelling saying "Get outta there!" I see other employee's freaking out and yelling.

I look in my rear view mirror and see a pick up truck tearing through the car wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pop it in drive, floor it, tear @ss outta there and turn to the left.

The jack@ss in the pick up accidentally floored it through the ENTIRE ******** car wash.

Once he exited the car wash at full speed, he finally stopped.

The car wash people were yelling at him.

I was all freaked out.

I ******** give up.... I'm not driving anymore as I'm a ******** magnet!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

chalk it up to life being crappy sometimes. it only means some really good things are coming your way or youve done some really crummy things to someone in the past.

Moral of the story? GM vehicles can get out of the way of accidents and MB's can't. ;):D

I would've had to change my boxers if I saw a van flying threw the car wash like that.

have you ever heard of a self-fulling prophecy?

No, never heard of a "self-fulling prophecy." :)

We have heard of a "self-fulfilling prophecy," however. But, this isn't one of them. He doesn't go around believe the black cloud is over him (as he initially stated in the OP), but time after time things keep happening. And it's not like he's going around making people hit him while he is driving, which is what the self-fulfilling prophecy would suggest would happen.

James, I'm really glad you made it out OK. That could have been bad.

There has to be more to the story than he "accidentally floored it through the entire car-wash," though...

I like the idea of dodgeing bullets :) but..... I'm not going to try it.

As for the guy in the pick up truck..... I was actually too freaked to get out of my car.... I saw him leave.... took like a minute to compose myself and then headed home

Is it me.. or are drivers in NJ getting worse!? The only accident I've been in since I got my license til this year was after H/S one day when there were in a huge traffic jam right outside of the school because there were 2 accidents ahead of us due to a light rain just starting. I was waiting for about 30-60 seconds when I see a van coming from afar.. Soon after I looked again and it was REALLY close and still moving at 60+ MPH. I dipped into my seat to keep my neck from flying back over my 3rd gen firebird's headrest.. BAM! hit me and sent me into my buddy's camaro in front of me.. I went from that accident in '04 til this year when I got my GTO without an accident until some a--hole decided to merge into my lane while I was next to him. Since then I have had 4 close calls with people merging into my lane. I can't believe how badly people drive now.. it's only been 5 years.

Sorry for the epic post and :jake:
