ok so i have a problem with my 98 jimmy. its something with the abs i replaced both wheel speed sensors and still have the problem. Does anyone live up north and have a obd2 scanner that can do a scan on my truck so i dont have to waste my money at some rip off shop?
I also heard something about a program for a laptop that can act as a scanner?
Thanks!

there is no ses light, been there done that.
ok the problem is with the abs fuse installed, while braking and under 15 mph the abs activates and kicks back like it should but the problem is it does it on dry roads, very light braking or hard it doesnt matter. every time there i apply the brakes and it slows under 10-15mph the abs kicks in. so i did a little reading and several people said brake pads and shoes replaced them same thing. then wheel sensors aka abs sensors replaced them same thing.
So i need an actual scanner that will read each sensor and find out what is causing the abs system to engage every time i apply the brakes to stop.
oh almost forgot, if i pull the abs fuse the problem goes away and the truck brakes normally... without abs tho.

OBD2 scanners won't read that, i don't believe. I have an Autoxray scanner and never noticed a body sensors option

i dont see why they wouldnt because the abs computer is hooked to the main computer because it reads the speed sensor from the trans.
im not sure, i was reading online it could be a wheel bearing... but they dont make noise and there is no play in either side. so i have no reason to replace it if its not making noise or anything like that.
