Bravada? Its a 4.3 thats in every Blazer, Jimmy and S10 for the last 20 years.
Depends on the intake set up. If its a early to mid 90's unit with the CPI "Vortec" design, run for the hills...that thing will have more problems, and you will some how be blamed for them.
If its a TBI car, then do it to it man. I think there is another easier MPI system in later models, but I dont think they are too hard at all either.

There are several types of Vortec. I think the 97 still has CPI...and if thats the case...RUN FOR THE HILLS!!

I'm pretty certain you've got a CPI truck. TBI was done away for the '94 model year. Does the upper intake have a plastic piece with the word VORTEC on it? With the throttle body towards the front of the engine? This would be a CPI (spider injection) truck. Does the air intake look like it goes directly to the center of the intake mainifold? This is a sequential fuel injection truck.
Either way, the 4.3 is pretty much shoehorned into those trucks. Pulling the heads is going to be a pain. Well, not so much removing the heads, but removing everything around the heads so you can pull them off. Try to find out what a shop would charge and base it off that. You'll be cursing the truck, trust me. If you do it, set up something where you can charge by the hour as opposed to working off book time. Try to do maintenance items while your there. If something you touched fails, your friend is gonna call it your fault.

uhhhh? what? it was my brothers friends dads and my brothers friend started driving it for winter and gave his dad his 740i since he lives in ga
oh ok, there was a 2000 bravada on ebay from a local jersey seller and only issue was a blown head gasket. Those are decently rare trucks so i figured the odds were good it was the same one, my mistake, lol.
