This guy is one of the guys over on the Nova forum I frequent. Cool guy, shame they put his car in a bad light.

a nice out of court settlement and a swift kick in their nuts will work.

It would be funny if they actually staged a race between him and that bimmer, but knowing that he'd outclass it by 3 seconds, they surely won't. Hopefully he can at least get someone at C&D to respond to him, but I doubt it.

maybe after the court case he can give the nova some reall balls!

If the car mag actually STOLE that dude's picture, then maybe. If they took the picture themselves, or bought it from the person who released his copyright to them, then they can do anything they please with the picture. There will be no court settlement.

There won't be a lawsuit anyway. Probably not worth his time or money. I think it's the principle of the thing.
That picture is stolen. If it wasn't then he wouldn't be as pissed I'm sure.

I think he is pissed because he was depicted in an unfavorable matter.

I love how hard the rags swing from BMW's nuts. This just confirms that feeling.

its a sh***ty deal, but basically once a picture is introduced to the internet its everybodies to do with. totally wrong and i would be pissed off if it was my car, but thats the chance you take when you post pics of yourself or possesions on the internet.
sucks, but such as life

he can try to push that its slander/defamation of character in some sort of way
the picture is property of the photographer, just because its a picture OF his car, doesn't mean its his picture to cry about

I read the article before i even saw this tread and was outraged by the way they depicted drag racers in it...
Car and Driver has no respect for drag race enthusiasts. The author of the article pokes fun at racers who push their cars down pit lane and ice down their motors as he sits in his Bavarian rental car with the A/C and music blasting. If your not gonna have respect for the people around you at the track then stay your a$$ home.

Yeah, I remember when this came up a few weeks ago.
Little stupid for C&D to do this, but really cant do much about it.
X6-M is a bit ugly, and an answer to a question no one wanted to ask. I want an SUV, but not go off road, not have a lot of space, have a coupe like roof, and have a twin turbo V8.
