buddy has a 2010 ford exploder. he is well over 7 feet tall and the seat doesn't go back enough for him to be comfortable. anybody point me in a direction to a shop that can move the seat back and be safe still?

i don't know of a shop, but i have to ask the question: why did he buy the truck if he didn't fit in it? i only know of one other situation, personally, where someone bought a car and it didn't fit them. the guy had polio as a child and there was something still wrong with his spine so much that any normal seat caused him pain while driving. the only thing i could offer him was an aftermarket seat, which would have clearly uglied up his nice new olds 98's interior, which i had sold to him about a week before he brought up the complaint. the dealership would not move the seat due to the potential liability.
moving the seat on a new vehicle should not be that difficult, provided that proper support is given to the seat's frame underneath and through the floor. anyone with a welder and knowledge of seat positioning should be able to handle it - and still keep it safe for the driver. however, with today's litigious society, you might find it hard for someone to take on the potential liability, like the dealership where i worked.

well i was watching unique whips and they moved a seat back for someone. also, shaq, ya. its not like they make cars for big and talls, they gotta make it work. have you seen a new explorer? its not that small.
so yeah i would be looking for someone who doesn't mind a little fab work and can take safety into account since this is daily driven. thanks!
