Good for Ford, I'm gonna tell my girlfriend that if she buys GT500 that she was in love with it will not fall apart. Although I seriously doubt it has any chance of beating out Audi TTS she has been lusting for..

Its a perception issue.
Ford hasnt updated any of thier cars. Fusion and Taurus were just updated this year...everything else is left over.
GM has low quality because it took money from the goverment.
Ford just issued 4.8 million car recall that overshadowed Toyota's 3.8.

Al, you just can't stand giving credit where credit is due if it's not GM in the limelight can you?

GM has its quality issues as well. But no way did Ford all of a sudden turn into this super quality company when they didnt change anything but TWO cars?
I dont buy it. These are the same guys that gave Toyota a pass on the new Camry and Tundra because it was a Toyota, even after several quality and mechanical problems.
Ford didnt do anything...everything else is the same. So unless the last Taurus and Fusion where massive heaps of garbage and everything else was perfect...this is nonsense.
Fusion and Taurus are good cars, but only the Taurus has really made a massive leap foward in quality, but its unproven because it is an untested and unproven cars.

Do I think that Ford's quality is good? Its better then it was 5 years ago, but so has Hyundai, GM, Kia, and Subaru.
Do I think that Ford's quaility is better then Toyota? Yes, especially compared to its recent products.
Is it better then Honda? No.Way. Honda is a solid company that has just maintained a certain status.
IMO, Ford is getting away with a lot of stuff. They might not have taken goverment money, but they did mortgage thier ENTIRE company to fund themselves through this time, on top of getting rid of any and all of thier major engineering and prestige brands. Outside of the Mustang and the trucks, every Ford vehicle owes its engineering to Volvo or Mazda, including powertrain. That goes for all "new" and European Fords.

#1 - MAF failure
#2 - Trans problems
#3 - horrible valvetrain chatter somewhere. Sounds like a diesel.
We were looking through the paperwork, and the sticker on these things are 20k!! YIKES!
Im sure thats not what the leasing company paid for them.
