As some of you might have heard, Lutz challenged anyone to see if they could beat him around Monticello's new track in a CTS-V. You could bring any 4 door, unmoddified sedan to the track to try and test your skills and beat the 77 year old Vice Chairman.

It was a blast! I got to meet and talk with both Bob Lutz and Brian Nesbitt, the new General Manager of Cadillac. It was a hell of a time, met some cool people, and enjoyed the crap out of myself when I got a chance to sit in the car along side John OConnell, famed Corvette C6R driver, for two laps around the course. Yes, he did drift the car with an extra 1000lbs of man in it.

Vids of that and of the one with Aaron Link, Chielf engineer of the CTS-V's suspension and chassis are on there, as well as some quick drive bys.

Yeah, an M3, M5, XF Supercharged, RS4 and two other cars that were there, but werent allowed to run, an Audi S5 and the new BMW X6 M with that screamin twin turbo V8. Man was that thing haulin ass!!

The kid in the M3 was the only challenger to beat Lutz, but he wasnt the fastest on the track. IMO...the M3 was slightly moddified, possible tune or something. I was talking with the kid's father, and he owns a warehouse full of high power vehicles ranging from a 55 Chevy with a 700hp LS motor, to 9 69 Camaros, to a brand new ZR1, all heavily moddified.

Kid still could drive and the M3 is an amazing car. Yet another reason why the Camaro Z28 needs to be an M3, not a GT500 type car.

Why couldn't the S5/X6 M run?

Rules were that it had to be a 4 door sedan.
S5 and X6 are not 4 door sedans. S5 is a coupe, X6 is an SUV.
There was also a Camaro there, a new GT500, and apparently a ZR1 that I missed.
