I have a concept design class where I need to develop a product, and I need feedback on it for a paper. The product is adjustable tint for car windows and I need feedback from people that would be in the market....like you guys.
The link below takes you to a quick multiple choice 7 question survey. I would really appreciate it if you guys could take a few seconds to complete it.
Thanks!

Done, but what would you do - put an adjuster knob on each window, or would you have to wire all the windows together?

windows would have to be wired together to a single potentiometer for adjustment. So far this is only a concept; Im trying to get data to see if it is feasible to market as a film. Adjustable tint is already available for some supercars, and buildings, but it is built into the windows. Basically the technology is there, but I want to market it as a film instead of a pane of modified glass.

Yeah...post #9. However, it is not readily available as an aftermarket film from what Ive researched. This is a class for developing a product....not something I plan to patent.

Gotcha, I guess I didnt read that part.
As far as an application, that could make it cheaper for people to use in thier homes or companies to use in cars.

**** is bananas.
why couldn't a film work on the same principle as my eyeglasses? they get dark when it's bright out. not so dark when not in direct sunlight. and zero at night. almost like they're not treated at all. i think a film with the same properties as my sunglasses should be developed. i guess if you wanted it for security purposes then there should be a way to control it, but i don't see that same need for a product that would be used to "help you see". that sounds like two completely separate products.
hell, the rear-view mirrors have it for when the idiot behind you has his brights on. it certainly didn't add any mass to the mirror. and you can't see the effect during normal driving.
