today I got tags and insurance on my new project car a 1986 Camaro. i was driving it around and after a good 15 min drive i got gas and the problems started. It seems as if almost anytime I start to pull away from a stop sign or red light the car stalls. Sometime It will start right up and some times it cranks and cranks. It is a holley 650 on a rebuilt 305. I think its time to rebuild the carb?

Check the basics, like the fuel filter.

Bad gas!? Sounds like you have too much carb for that motor anyway is it a stock 305??

Depends on if it's a Holley 650 vacuum secondary or Holley 650 Dbl Pumper

I didnt pick the carb but yes it is to much carb for this motor. It is a rebuild 305 with a mild cam and better heads. It has about 3300 miles on it.

If it is a vacuum secondary carb it may not be as bad as you think.
