Just got in...but I made my goal of 11's and pretty much my goal of trapping 120mph all in the first pass. 11.98@119.4mph. Gotta work on the launch still(no spin, just lots of bog).

that's a solid start man, making it into the 11's has to be an awesome feeling. launches can be a pain with a stick car.. there's no doubt that you'll pick up easily two tenths when you find the sweet spot. 119.4 is no joke.

Yea. That pass I didn't think was going to be an 11 second pass at all. The 60' sucked and matt(LTslow) was pretty far ahead of me because of r/t. That excitement quickly ended when I got to the pits and had to wait another 2 hours to get a pass.

Did you get any other runs in? Never a bad feeling to hit a goal the first time out.

I got one other run in. Better 60' and 1/8. I trapped over 1 mph faster in the 1/8th and then missed 4th gear. Would have been a faster pass and I would have solidly trapped 120...maybe even cracked 121. Oh well...next week I should be out there.

word. I hope next week provides more runs with less downtime. I'll probably be there next Sat with a fellow etown bracket racer.

good runs, now drop the Kmember, put ARP rod bolts in, up the limiter and take the cam where you know it wants to go. i spin my LT1 as high as you

maybe. The hp curve is flat from 5800-6600:nod: Torque starts falling off at a descent rate by 6400. My motor is an 02 and came with the "best" bottom end of the 4th gen ls1 era. People have spun a purely stock bottom end like my car has( 01-02 ls1) to over 7K and they usually hold up. ARP bolts are probably a must with the way I like to drive though. A little more seat time and fix a few little bugs, then ARP bolts and start spraying it.

What kind of tires are those 10.5 QTPs?

how would you know its not flat farther then that? you have the limiter at 6700

very true, but I'm satisfied with how it's running right now. If I start getting discouraged with the Et's it puts up, then I'll look into it. To trap almost 120 in a pretty much full weight car first time out is good enough for me right now. Btw, on the second run, I took your advice and shifted above what the shift light was set at so I was probably shifting at about 6500, and the mph in the 1/8th went up 1.4 mph to a flat 95 mph. And on the first run my car picked up 27mph on the back stretch, so I think a 121 trap speed is do-able.
damn i wish i was able to get out there

good run dude. youll definately be faster as u run that thing more and more. 6k launch and hold on! as for the hp/tq curve thing, you can definately get away with shifting a above that. the extra rpm will only help carry you into the next gear!

yea, on the last run I launched at 6K and still bogged. I think I may try running a little more psi in the tires and see if I can get a little more spin out of them. Not sure yet, still got plenty of time to figure out the new setup....probably going with QA1's for next season.

Just ordered new shocks for out back, and gotta adjust rockers this Saturday... then its round two Vinny.
No N20 mistakes this time.

Congrats on the new best. I might come down sunday depending on how I run Thursday. Are you running the hoosier radial slick c06 compound? If you're bogging with a 6k launch try raising the tire pressure (whats it at?).
