ok guys i picked up a ford 9in awhile ago for my bronco for dirt cheap. i sold my truck so i took this thing apart and this is what i found.

its got 3.55 gears and is setup for 31 spline axles.

besides getting a housing for a 4th gen what would i need in order to be able to have working t/c?

reluctor wheels on the ends of the axles. pretty much just the 3rd member is of use to you

B9HP2 GM 'F' Body (with torque arm bracket) $1080
*9" Ford Bolt-In Packages include new, heavy duty housing cores, seamless steel tubing (3" OD, 1/4" wall), new brackets and new housing ends, Custom Alloy Axles, wheel bearings, standard size wheel studs, and retainer plates.

edit: probably need a drive shaft with proper yokes too

i dont know much about the 9in so im doing research. what do mean by what case is it?
casting number?

i know ill probably need a new driveshaft. but i just wanted to see if it is possible to keep the t/c option as i dont really go to the track much and figured if i have a 3rd member already setup ill just get a housing and axles to back up my 6.0 and 6 speed.

I think Wild Billy is wanting to know if you have a Nodular Iron Case or a standard Gray Iron Case or a War Case? Not all 9" rears are created equal, some factory units were pretty stout, others were pretty lame. 31 spline axles is a pretty good start though. Even the housings varied pretty widely.

looks like its just the standard case not the "n" or "war". and has trac lock.
