It was full of win until I saw the motor...all that safety BS for 350hp?

Cool idea, fail on the power.

cool car, but seems like it would have been much easier to build up an LT1 caprice and be closer to 400 hp

I wish the guy made the listing a little easier to follow instead of on huge paragraph.

I suppose since it was built to teach people how to drive a road course and was a track only car they opted for the best safety equipment. I could imagine an inexperienced driver whipping one of those around a road course could be a bit unsafe. I don't think that car was designed with the quarter mile in mind at all

I'd bet that it's a car for Bondurant driving school based on the fact that they are based in AZ. Executive protection or whatever.

Edit: Last pic even says Bondurant on the side.

Those Bondurant cars were built by Roush and only 18 were built. All that safety gear is a bit overkill, as I bet that car won't go any faster than 14.5 with all that added weight. That thing has to weigh close to 4300# if not more.

It's not a drag car!

Note the "evading and ramming" course info.
