Question for you guys..

I have a projector that has component HD input and S video input but my laptop only outputs HDMI and VGA.

Maintaining HDMI is not important to me, as I don't think any of my videos on my hard drive are true HD. Also sound is not important, I have a sound card to my stereo vis toslink.

Any ideas?

Well VGA can do 1080i and I think component can as well.

yeah but it would depend on your video card in the comp.

Oh yea def, and I think it sucks.

Just don't wanna get something that will hold back the quality if the comp can do it.

::edit....as posted above, with a disclaimer::

This might work: VGA to Component RGB (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10235&cs_id=1023503&p_id=2170&seq=1&format=2)

Read the description fully though, and make sure you laptop will support it before you buy, specifically: THIS CABLE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CONNECT YOUR COMPUTER'S VGA PORT TO THE COMPONENET INPUT ON YOUR HDTV unless your video card supports component out function through it's VGA port (please confirm with your video cards documentation before purchasing)
