hey guys, i am putting my engine together tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone has any torque specs for all of the bolts that need to be tightened.

But if you use ARP or aftermarket hardware ( as you should) they will most likely have differing torques.

We are talking head bolts here?
If so, ARP is a two step torque sequence I think, and you can do them straight torque vs. the angle torque.

Use their moly/bolt lube. Do not use engine oil !!!

I did, works for me.
Make sure to use sealant on the threads though.

Yup. And keep in mind that higher torque does not necessarily mean greater holding.

GM sells thread sealant with PTFE, use that for any holes where coolant/oil may pass into.
and if running high c/r or hittin it with the juice, recommend quality trimetal gaskets like cometics, or a high line felpro

Or just impy gaskets like all other H/C LT1s... :wink:
I think the cometics require a certain RA on the heads/block surfaces no?

thanks for the info guys. the arp bolts came with the lube. does gm thread sealant come in different strengths? like how locktight has the blue and the red, red being a stronger hold. as for gaskets i went with all felpro gaskets, it came in a kit i bought from summit.
