View Full Version : Why I shouldn't be hired.

I realized today that I'm bad luck to fire/ laid off, or leave the job on my own. Out of all the jobs I've ever had, only one seems to not of tanked.

My first job, Advance Auto, after I left, the store went to ****. Good example is Bubba worked there :lol: j/k, but it did hit the ****ter

My third job was at 84 Lumber in the door dept. after I was laid off, they shut the shop down, and my boss apparently had a nervous break down!!

Fourth was Viking, afte I left, the economy hit them so hard, they laid off/fired alot of people, and are still hanging on by a thread.

Fifth was Toyota....nuff said :D

and so now I'm at NAPA, were doing okay, but I heard a few chain stores will be built around in the area. Now I'm not saying I can't wait to leave, but I've been looking into starting my own repair shop soon, so in all honesty, am I bad luck, or do I just have good timing? maybe a little of both.

A lot of businesses have gone south since 2001. I wouldn't even think about it.

It's more than the economy that combined withyour area. Even the casinos are hurting with places like the Poconos and Yonkers popping up. We have an elevator repair branch not too far from you in Egg Harbor and they are really slow too.

Oh man are the casino's hurting. Stupid of them to be takign away certain gambling things righ tnow when the surrounding casino's are zapping them cause they offer different types of gambling A.C. cant do. I say bring in sports betting and it just might be what could bring back the out of staters. plus no matter the renovations, besides the quarter at the trop and borgata, everywhere else is stuck in 1988, it's a shame.

Ive had similiar events where there was a merger a closing or just not the same after I leave. I think its more the business climate than anything.
