looks interesting. I won't say it looks overly promising, but it seems to have more features than the giant iPod touch.
yea, i would buy one. but then again, i hate anything apple.

That does a LOT of stuff. A LOT of stuff! I would like to see it turn into a laptop, by opening it and locking it in an open position. Bottom half would be the keyboard...

wow that looks SO much better than the tamPod...i mean iPad, not to mention since it folds closed it can be a practical platform to take with you and you wont have to worry about ur screen breaking unlike the oversized itouch

I didn't even think of that possibility. If it's implemented properly and could dual boot windows now THAT would be neat!

Have you seen and used a Nintendo DS? Look at there screens after about 20 hours of use, glass on glass with dirt and crap in-between them is a recipe for disaster...
Then you got the hinges the weak link of laptops GG microsoft.
IMO the UI looks way over complicated for everyday use for a everyday jhon. The average person doesn't care for complicated that is why apple wins.
IMO both are way overpriced(base line is 800ish take with a grain of salt) but the ipad will when just for the ease of use and the established app market.

I bought a Nintendo DS almost 3 years ago and have used it probably over 100 hours and it looks great. Its just a matter of taking care of things the right way. I wouldnt count the Courier out due to a flip feature and glass screens. It also looks like it has more multitasking abilities than the Ipad which in turn makes it more practical/effective. I agree the starting MSRP on both is rediculous, especially for a giant Ipod touch

First off...its a Microsoft product, so there will be 20 different variations of that pen available, all for about 10-20 bucks.
Apple? You would have to go to Apple to talk to one of them, have them custom craft one for you, and spend $100 bucks.
There will be all that, and more, cheaper.

1. You can use a finger just like that ****** ipad
2. You can buy a new one.
3. You can probably use some other stylus from some other device.
Dunno about the USB. There's no need to be angry at the fact that no one likes the ipad

 actually I'm not angry Vitals.. I didn't state an opinion one way or the other. Honestly I like it but can see it breaking easily. I brought up the pen bc I think it's a dumb idea to have one. How many people have one for their phones but never use it. And the USB I only mention bc so many people were only giving "no USB" as a reason to hate the comparing apple product but no one mentions it here.

why do i want to take a picture with either of them?? I'm certainly not going to pull out something thats in a case or sleeve (which i'm assuming either will have to be kept in) to take a quick picture with something the size of a book when i could take the same quality picture with a phone. and if i was intending on taking pictures (vs the impromptu images that cell phones often take), i would be carrying an actual camera that could take better images than a cell phone.
As for the battery thing, my iPhone is a year and a half old, and i still have no desire to replace the battery. In fact, I've never had to replace hte battery in any of my apple products, so for me its a non-issue. People who freak out about the ability to change a battery themselves are the ones who are used to them failing ;)

Pretty sure he meant video camera, for things like chatting on skype of w/e else people use these days. After all that's what people on laptops do, and ipad is better than a laptop, so logically you should be able to chat with someone using a video camera.
As far as the battery goes, it's not always about failing, sometimes it's about extra charge. Your battery dies, then what? I can crack open my BB and stick another one, someone who uses their iphone for business can't.

the only camera i see on the courier is on the outside, not the inside where one would use a "video chat" camera from.
Honestly, I think both devices are garbage. I would use both for target practice.
The no camera on ipad was a common "complaint" from what I've seen.
