I obv. didnt get to go to Chicago, but here are some releases from Chicago Auto Show
first up...brand new Chevy Silvy 2500/3500HD's on an all new frame, upgraded powertrains and a revised body. Prior, they rode on the old HD platfrom with the new body pannels.
They fixed the sheet metal, and now it looks like a killer truck! It has a host of cool features, like a factory exhaust brake, as well as standard hill start assist on single rear wheel models.
new 6.6 Dmax is said to make 400hp and 700ftlbs of torque. That was the target for GM's Powertrain guys. The GM HD trucks will be class leading in all towing and hauling numbers.

2011 Ford Edge
Following up on the successful launch, this revision keeps it in tops of its class
Base engine will be the same 3.5 in the ute now, but an upgraded 305hp 3.7 unit will show up for the Sport trim, same 3.7 that is in the new 2011 Mustang V6. A 2.0 Turbo engine will arrive later, as part of Ford's Ecoboost powertrain line up.

Inside, The Edge get massive upgrades in telematics, including the new MyFord system that ties in Sync and its intergrated Sony sound system. OLED guages flank the main analog speedo, and the OLED display shows displays HVAC and Radio info.
2011 Volvo S60
Volvo's main midsized sedan, this car tends to do battle with the likes from Ford's Mondeo, Opel/Buick's Insigna/Regal, up to the luxury players. Topped with a turbocharged 6cylinder engine, it put down 305hp. It also has adaptive suspension and active stability control which Volvo says is the first and fastest reacting stabilty system out there

And here she is. In LA, Ford brought you the 305hp Mustang V6.
In Detroit, 5.0 once again adorns the fenders of the new Mustang GT. Primer 4 inch cowl, drag lites, and flowmaster duals are, sadly, not existant.
for Chicago, Ford completes the homicidal triade.
the 2011 Ford Mustang GT500.
Now, with a 5.4 aluminum block the car gains some power, but drops 100lbs. That puts the GT500 coupe about the same weight as the Camaro SS, but packing an extra 120hp+

There there is the electric version of the North American Truck of The year....
Due this year, the 2011 Ford Transit Connect EV will yadda yada I dont care this thing is goofy. 80 mile range on a charge, and then you have to plug it in. I think Ford just wants to try to have an electric car ASAP, but these are looking sad in comparison to full EV's and EREV's
