I just got done cutting up a couple of trees that fell onto our fence in the back yard from the neighbors. Luckily, there are 2 chain link fences next to each other and they both took a good hit and bent the upper bar, but they hele up. So I decided I better cut up the bigger tree(juniper type trees) because it was still leaning on the fence and the weight of more snow might do more damage. I ended up cutting(using a tree saw by hand) up both trees(actually half the trees broke off) and dragging them through the snow in the back yard to throw over the fence to the front yard. They will stay there until the snow melts more and I can drag them to the curb. My arms are going to fall off! I shoveled down the piles of snow in front of our house the last 3 days to make room for any new snow so I'm hurting. I hope I can hold a beer later on.

You can see the branches piled up in front of the fence and the portion of the trees I had to cut off after they broke.

i feel your pain . i had 4 huge branches break and crash onto my roof. i braved the elements and went up there and threw them off. bastards were huge and heavy but did no damage that i can tell. just missed going through a skylight:shock: crappy pines

Similar situation at my house. We have a few pines that really lean (naturally) and with the snow sitting on them they couldnt hold up and broke. Two of them are about 12" in diameter. They look much bigger on the ground lol

It's even better when you realize that they somehow managed to fit all of Jackyl's fans in one classroom like that.

I have to admit that it's easier cutting them up this time of the year than in the middle of summer when it's 80+ degrees and humid. One of them snapped in half last summer when we had some crazy storm come through early in the morning. I was out there with just a sweatshirt and I was still pretty close to breaking out in a sweat.
