used from Thirdgen.org, Ebay, etc.
Are you dead set on SLP, cause there are other brands that are comprobable. I think there was a dude on thirdgen.org making a set of SLP clones. You can check into that.

yes, look up dyno don on 3rd gen, he makes a superior set of headers, they fit a million times better and he has the best y-pipe setup out there.
SLP's fit like **** and you cant get to the plugs with certain heads
, and the y-pipe is only 2.25", and doesnt fit the best.

I have a set of Dyno Dons and they are great. They fit well and seem to be really high quality. I originally wanted the SLP one but they have been discontinued and its really hard to find a set.

i have the slp's and i hate them. they hit the steering shaft, brake lines, 2 spark plugs, y-pipe didnt clear the pan, the flanges were warped so bad when they were brand new that i had to grind them flat to get them to seal. good thing they are discontinued

The only problem I had with the Dyno Don's set was the y-pipe being to close to the body. After I looked at it for a while I realized it was not the y-pipe but the poly Engine mounts I had. They made the engine sit to high. So I out a set of stock mounts in and all was good.

i also have a set of Dyno-Don's headers (hes from thirdgen). I used to run the EDELBROCK TES headers, but when i removed the AIR syste i got the DynoDons. I love them. He does make them, thats odd that he told you to buy pacesetters, because he does build them . i had to buy a set of gaskets and bolts but that was no problem. his headers can come with the y pipe or without, but i eally like his y-pipe. it will not match up with the stock cat tho, so i got a magnaflow spun cat and had it welded right up there. as mentioned above the slp's are discontinued.
also: if u want to see waht they look like and what is included...i have a bunch of photos about 1/2 way down the page on my website of the headers and installation..

yea im looking for some decent headers and ypipe. From what i understand you have to have 1-3/8 if you really wanna go over 300hp so thats whats im looking for.

I think you mean 1 5/8"?
Anyway, there is no one "best header" out there, it all depends on your setup and goals.

blah i mean 1 3/4"
taken from thirdgen.org
"The others are all 1 5/8". If you plan on making more than 300 HP to the rear wheels, the 1 3/4" are what you want."

Well, it's certainly not impossible to make more than 300 hp to the wheels with only 1 5/8 primaries, but the optimal header will depend on your car and engine setup.
I have a set of Hooker long tubes with 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collectors for sale if you are interested....

I bought and still have the SLP headers with 1 3/4" primaries with a 3" outlet y-pipe at my parents house where I keep my car. They are still in the box they came in about 8 yrs ago.I just never had the time to install them.
