Pardon the newb-ness, but I mainly use paypal to send money, not get it. So my question is, how do I take the money out of my paypal account into a checking/savings account?

I tried that before, and I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone. I just saved it on paypal until I bought something else.

Ok I got it, I need a check routing number for my checking account, or they can send you a check.

yea if you link your account to your paypal then you can just transfer it to your account.

You just need to attach your bank to your paypal account.
Then verify its yours by:
signing in using your bank account online login information or
paypal will make two small deposits into your bank account once you enter in your bank account info. Then you have to verify its yours by logging back into paypal enter in the two small deposits.
At this point you are ready to transfer your paypal balance into your checking account.
The other way to do it is, is request a paypal debit card. (takes about a week to get it)
When you use it, you'll get 1% back on MC purchases without using your pin.
Also you could go to an ATM and withdraw your funds (no 1% back). Usually I use the Quik-Check ATMs since they are free of charge.

you can transfer to your bank account as long as its linked up as stated. also, also, there is no fee when you send money from your bank account or paypal balance. you know how people like to throw in the "add 3% for paypal" as stated here (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside&nav=1.0.5)
