Hey everyone,
Last summer I sold my 91 RS Convertible/LT1 with the intention of buying a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS. Well, 6 months later, I am buying a house & getting married so I dont really want to get into a new loan with a $500/month payment. That leaves me with a couple options:
1) Buy a decent running/driveable car for 5-10k to use as my toy and upgrade it as I go.
2) Buy something that needs work for a little less money and fix it up. Then upgrade it as I go.
Now this may not sound like much of a decision to some of you, but I really enjoy working on cars. Almost as much as driving them. So fixing the fixxer upper wouldnt be a chore for me. The main drawback to getting the car that needs work would be that it would probably be awhile before I got the car on the road. I know I will be happy either direction I decide to go, but I cant decide.
Also, I have the problem of deciding what car to get. I have always loved 3rd gens, but I think it might be time to step up to a LS1 car. I had thought about getting a vette for a short time, but when I saw how much upgrade parts cost for them, I ruled them out.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark B
