Wrong.
Insurance companies cannot deny you coverage based on preexisting condition.
More regulation and consumer protection reguarding insurance companies.
the millions of Americans without healthcare will be able to buy, from Insurance companies (not the goverment) more affordable plans so they can be coverd.
More support for preventative healthcare
No public money will be spent on abortion. Money will have to come from the persons who want it.
Money will come from reforming Medicare, removing some tax breaks on insurance companies, and taxes/fines placed on large businesses and people who do not pay into it.

Yes. There is or was a provision that said if it costs you more then X% of your income, you can get a pass.
The idea for this is that no one can cheat the system, using the healthcare when they need it, and then bail out when they dont.

Ok, CNN is talking about some immediate changes.
50% of what small businesses pay in premiums can be given back as tax credits.
250 bucks to seinors who dont qualify for Medicare D program
You can be up to 26 and be coverd by your parents now
No cap of insurance pay outs for serious illnesses.
No denying coverage due to preexisting condition.

Yes. Ironically there aren't any real major restrictions on the drug companies and their outrageous prices too which help jack up insurance rates, makes you wonder.
Like Al said it's hard to find some non-biased info. If you listen to FoxNews most of them were against it(most of the bill anyway) and outlets like CNN and MSNBC(jokes of outlets anyway) are cumming in their pants.
There are some good parts and some horrid parts. What kind of disappointments me is that some politicians sold their soul for this bill, some were dead-set against it and they rolled over and voted yes....but I suppose that happens when you're more concerned about self preservation.

It's a bad plan that will cost a trillion dollars, raise your taxes and doesn't kick in until 2014 but we'll start paying for it right away.

Well it is going to cost taxpayers becuase the inforcement is going to be made by the IRS and they are going to have hire a ton of more people to do it. My whole issue is I think its uncostitutional to make someone buy something that really is a privellage to begin with. Im not saying people dont need healthcare Im just says its wrong to make someone buy health insurance.
