opinions? http://cpt.pszweb.com/700.htm
looking at a pro race rebuild and can't see myself putting more than 450-500 na flywheel hp and another 300rwhp of nitrous. i would not be using their converter, just interested in the trans.
Thanks! 8-)

Do they have a HP or TQ rating for each Trans build?..."Sub 1.7 60'" times is pretty easy to do with a bolt on car. Also, do they have a warranty?

not that i saw and looking at a lightly used one. it seems comparable to a performabuilt level 2 trans but with a couple nicer pieces as far as i can tell.

I know it looks similar to the performabuilt, but I would pay the extra 200 just for a warranty. I dont think the trans is somewhere to cut corners if you are serious about building a 700 hp nitrous car

Cahall makes a great transmission. I've heard nothing but good feed back and I know a few guys with his transmission. Cahall has a 6 month warranty on parts and 12 month on labor. Performabuilt is 6 months for just the transmission.

Do a search for CPT on cz28 or LS1tech. Few guys got screwed, and took forever to get their transmissions back. Too bad, I hear he did great work.

We've got Performabuilt transmissions and Finish Line Transmissions, I can give you a discount over their listed prices on their website. Let me know if you want to go that route.

yeah, my brother runs a CPT transmission on his 93 trans am. stock motor basically. he has had zero issues. strong shifts. i think they are in deleware or someplace right? i know he drove his old trans down there and they did the work then he drove back to pick it up. this was about 2-3 years ago. i thinkt he only issue he had was with the b&m megashifter, which he switched for something else (hurst maybe). rachet shifter

Why not just get a trans from a sponsor? A few guys here can build some stout transmissions.

Yeah but you went overboard...no need for that kind of trans on a 200hp motor.....

as much as i'd love a th400, probably need too, i really want to retain overdrive for a little bit. if it continuously breaks, well 3 speed it is
