Im in south jersey and willing to travel for a good shop...im planning on getting my car painted nest spring and want to bring it to a really nice shop thats well know for great work (no maaco crap) ...im thinking an orange, green or maybe Mopar plum crazy lol ...and ideas guys??
i could recommend some places, but it all depends on how much you are looking to spend and just dont be shocked how high some estimates cost, because with all prep and materials, it other expenses to do a full paint job, especially changing the entire color of a car can easy reach 10k.

plus im planning on getting the car primed myself before i take it to help cut down the cost of prep work

A lot of good shops want to do the whole process themselves or they won't warranty the work or possibly do it at all.
Shoot HardcoreZ28 a PM. He runs a resto shop and does really quality work. He can give you some good info.

yea at my shop we usually want to prep and paint from start to finish bc if it wasn't sanded right the paint can peel, there could be hidden dents, scratches etc.. we can work with you on price b/c it's me personally so let me know if you want but i know that the shop that he is talking about does really nice work

Not sure if this is too far, but Hunt Auto Body in Fairless Hills PA did an AWESOME job on my Formula. They only repainted one side of the car (not the entire car), but the quality is excellent. They mainly work on Corvettes and Jaguars, and treated my car as if it were their own.

This place does charge a bit more than the average shop, but definitely worth it for the quality!

As stated above my shop specializes in top quality jobs only....no repair work. If you're after a show quality paint job then give me a call and come up sometime to see some of our work in person.
Like a lot of guys said you're better off letting the shop do all of the prep work for you. This way there's no unknown elements that would negate any warranties on the job.

You can go to www.RPMRestoandCustom.com and if you have Facebook look up the shop name on there for even more recent work.

You can email me some pics of the car.....especially any spots that have damage. I can atleast give you a general number from there. Also let me know if you want to just sand it down and go over the original paint or if you want to take it down to bare metal/plastic.

If it's the original paint on the car you can probably get away with sanding it down and using it as your base as long as it's not failing in any spots. However to receive a full warranty from us you'd have to go down to bare metal. This is a pretty standard warranty practice as nobody can guarantee someone else's work....not even the factory's.
Send me a couple pics and let me know if it's a definite color change and I can give you a rough figure.

If you decide to go here do NOT take 206. You probably won't get there. Take 295, it will make your life easier! Plus, if it did go straight through (which it doesn't) you would be going through Trenton and probably mess your car up with all the pot-holes there LOL. I tried to take 206 one time because I thought I could and I ended up having to take 295 anyway. Oh, and the 25MPH and 35MPH speed limits will get annoying if you go on 206!
Hope this helps!
