For the last 10 minutes my tv has been going nuts showing an emergency broadcast alert for a missing child abduction in New Jersey....anyone know anything about it or what?? is this happening on yours???


its going back and forth between that and a high school football game or something.

Yeah I dont know how far they broadcast it but I'm sure its on all NJ TV's at this point. It said it was in Elizabeth.

Yes, it's getting pretty annoying too. Just turn to channel 10 and you will know everything you need.

Circumstances: On 4/28/10 at 18:05 hours in the City of Elizabeth at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Third Street, the suspect carjacked a victim using physical force. In said vehicle's back seat, was the victim's 1 1/2 year-old son, Wuilmer Hernandez. The vehicle was last seen in the area of McCarter HIghway and Broad Street in Newark, NJ.

OMG they were car jacked!!!! Thats so sad!! He's just a baby--hope it turns out ok. Poor kid.

I don't see it, but our TV feed is from Dish network. So its probably not connected to the local emergency info links like cable or broadcast.

It was even on the local radio stations yesterday while i was driving around. Then on the tv later that night.

seems that way. ended well I guess. Morals are such a personal thing. I guess carjacking is morally ok but kidnapping is not.

On the lighter side, it seems like the plot of a bad buddy comedy. 2 dads, a stolen car and a baby, with the guys from dude where my car (no and then)

yeah totally glad everything ended better than it usually does in these types of situations. i can see someone rationalizing car jacking someone and then looking in the backseat, seeing the baby and realizing it was a bad decision. babies have odd effects on people...either that or he wasnt trying to hurt anyone...just needed a car really bad.

either way. it ended well and thats just a relief.

the much more likely scenario is that after he saw the baby he realized that EVERY cop in the entire tri-state area would be looking for that vehicle now...
