i thought you couldn't afford the insurance so you had to get rid of the camaro. By the way whats holding the radiator in there?

i wasnt paying that much through my insurance company. im not worried about it right now. gonna be a little before its on the road. at that point ill go with the insurance company i was going to go with at first before i got screwed over.
crazyblazer87
05-05-2010, 09:20 PM
so then why the lie about the high insurance?
emolineaux
05-05-2010, 09:22 PM
because it was high. it went from 267 to 995 every 6 months. for only 3k miles of drive a year! thats more than my genesis at full coverage and being financed lol. thats why i said forget it and never got it inspected for new owner. if i would of know they were going to screw me over(was only insuring to make the sale easier) i would of went with the collector insurance for like 500 a year.

05-05-2010, 09:23 PM
so the t/a will be different?
emolineaux
05-05-2010, 09:35 PM
i will be going with the collector car insurance since its something i plan on keeping for awhile. and only going to be out in nice weather.

05-05-2010, 09:37 PM
id rather pay the 412 a year for the ta on collector insurance over the 2k a year through progressive lol
dont you need collector registration for collector insurance?
crazyblazer87
05-05-2010, 09:38 PM
so the camaro couldn't get that insurance?
emolineaux
05-05-2010, 09:39 PM
no dont need collector registration with this company.
and if you would read my posts above. ive wanted a ta and settled for a camaro. so when this came about i wanted to go with the ta and part ways with the camaro.
crazyblazer87
05-05-2010, 09:42 PM
yeah but the camaro was for sale for a while before you traded it for the t/a
and your big reason to get rid of it quick was because insurance was to much
emolineaux
05-05-2010, 09:45 PM
thats because i got really pissed off and just wanted to be done with it but didnt think about the previous insurance quotes i got for the car. but any way why do you guys have to bust my balls about stupid crap. the camaro is sold and i have a car that i want. i wasnt going to pay the high price to just have ppl come and test drive the car and have it able to be driven for 3 or 4 months out of the year lol.
i dont know how my car isnt qualified for collector insurance but yours is....

im just trying to understand your reasoning of selling a car that you "dumped" money into and then sell it when you go buy another one and will just do the same thing over again.

mike this is the company im going with. they had my camaro all set to go but it was cheaper for me to insure it for 6 months with progressive so i could get it sold. but they f-ed up and told me it was going to run me triple the price 3 weeks later.
give these guys a call

Doesn't look like that will work for him. They specifically outlaw racing / timed events.

i had american collectors. they sucked. raised the rates $10 every year for no reason. i have grundy on both my TAs now. much cheaper and the rates never rise.

Good luck. It seems the late 4th gens have now hit that point in time where most of them are beat up.

Actually, Grundy does raise their rates. I have Grundy and my insurance is up for renewal this month. I spotted on the declarations page that they raised the value of my car $1,500 over last year. I called them and they said in your policy there is something called "inflation guard" that raises your declared value by 4% each renewal. I was never aware of it, and was never told of it by them until now. I was able to remove it and they didn't give me a hard time. But I suggest you check your policy.
